ABSTRACT

I assemble a utility for trace interpolation assuming a local monoplanewave model. In local windows, many one-point filters are tested with various dips. These are trivial spatial prediction filters. These simple filters are easily interpolated leading to data interpolation. PVI introduces the idea of 2-D prediction-error filters to data interpolation. The method here reduces that concept to practice in an elementary way. This method is the first step of a family of inverse methods that I am developing.
