ABSTRACTThere are two obvious choices of coordinates to use when interpolating seismic data: cmp-offset and source-receiver. A multi-scale prediction-error filter (PEF) based interpolation works well on both sets of coordinates for a 2D prestack land dataset, although the cmp-offset coordinates appear to be preferable. By using reciprocity in source-receiver space, a pair of 2D PEFs may interpolate the data with more efficiency and practical applicability to 3D data. |
