We first review the rationale and key derivations of our RMO WEMVA theory in the 2-D case, and then present the 3-D generalization to the theory by making analogies.
Practical experience indicates that slowness is a better parameterization than velocity. For clarity, the model space is parameterized as slowness unless otherwise specified.
