Speakers' Biographies


Father Paul McLaughlin is the pastor at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Marlborough, MA. He is currently a member of the Massachusetts State Board of Pax Christi. Other Massachusetts communities in which he has served parish assignments include Peabody, Arlington, Swampscott and Lowell. He also served as the Chaplain for Regis College in Weston, MA. Throughout his career he has been a leader in local Catholic Youth Organizations.

Sister Mary Carol Bennettis the Coordinator of the Center for Justice and Peace, Pittsburgh Sisters of Mercy and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Justice Team of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. She is serving as Co Chair of the Board of Directors for The Interfaith Alliance of Southwestern Pennsylvania. She has worked for twenty five years in schools of the Diocese of Pittsburgh as a teacher and as an administrator.

Sister Patricia Lambert is Director of Office of Justice and Peace of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston. She previously served as a school teacher for thirty years in the Massachusetts area, and more recently as a staff member of the Senate Legislative Education Office in the Massachusetts State House.

Ray Landry is a high school English teacher at North Reading High School. He also serves as the founder and administrator of the Massachusetts Small Schools Academic Decathlon. He previously taught at Mt. St. Michael's and at the Marist International School in Kobe, Japan. He has been a practicing Catholic all his life and now resides in North Reading with his wife Dot. They are the parents of three children.
