SCANNING HOMOTHETIC PARAMETER

To do efficient focusing analysis we must employ a method that does not require constant recalculation of ray-paths. In addition, for the method to be robust, we must limit the number of parameters that describe perturbations in the focusing operator. A homothetic scaling of the travel-times meet both these criteria.
