ABSTRACTWhen treated as vectors or matrices, seismic traces may be manipulated with Mathematica's large set of mathematical algorithms and displayed in a variety of presentations. A program for converting seismic files into Mathematica format and examples of Mathematica processes are given. A variety of plots are shown to illustrate Mathematica's display capabilities, including wiggle-trace plots, variable-density plots, 3-D plots, and others. |
