Automatic document generation

I have not developed the tools to create reproducible Internet documents from my standard research files: Java programs, LATEXdocuments and makefiles. However, I believe, the automatic creation of reproducible Internet documents is possible without incurring hardly any additional work for the author who programs in Java. In general, programs in other languages are not executed by browsers since the browser is unable to protect the reader's computer from computer viruses and other possible attacks.

When I implement a computational research project I usually create a LATEXdocument, a Java application, a few data files, and a makefile. The makefile integrates the various pieces into a functional unit. For example, the makefile stores the commands to compute result files from input files or converts result files to various image formats for inspection and inclusion in the LATEXdocument.
