PRESTACK DATUMING

Datuming of prestack seismic data is a simple extension of the poststack case. However, it has the potential for application to static correction of land data recorded over an irregular earth surface. The following sections first suggest application procedures for static correction by prestack datuming, and then demonstrate upward datuming from an irregular earth topography to a planar datum for common-shot gathers (CSG) and common-receiver gathers (CRG).
