Earthquake Recordings

With the San Andreas Fault running through California, the Long Beach survey picks up many events, both big and small. We present waveforms from a nearby (approximately $ 15$  km east of the survey) M$ 2.4$ event in Yorba Linda, California, and a further away (approximately $ 250$  km southeast of the survey) M$ 4.9$ event in Mexicali, Mexico. Given the spatial dimensions and duration of the Long Beach array, both events could potentially be used for resolving structures and velocities at the reservoir scale.
