Not a trip I've taken, but one I wouldn't mind doing. If you actually make it to Parker Pass, this is the view. Add another two miles and a climb from 11,000' to 12,000' and you're on top of Koip Peak Pass, which presumably has quite a view. If you're a peak bagger and don't mind another 1000' climb, hit Parker Peak or Koip/Kuna Peak, and you've got an extraordinary view! Continue over Koip Peak Pass and you'll find (so I hear) a network of large, beautiful lakes - Alger Lakes. Continue for another five miles or so and descend down to Gem Lake, where I believe you can find a road. Might be a nice three-day trip if you had a second car or were willing to hitchhike back to Tuolumne...
