A 5-pound (estimated), 25-inch brown trout that I pulled from the Middle Fork of the South Platte River (north of Hartsel, CO) after climbing Fletcher/Quandary. I was fishing with a #8 Dave's Hopper. This has to be my favorite mid-day dry fly, especially in the late summer months, when real hoppers are plentiful.
