We worked in Etosha National Park in Namibia. The park is named for Etosha Pan, the large dry lake that takes up much of the park. Etosha is about an 8-9 hour drive from Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Windhoek is about 24 hours from Stanford by plane, plus about 14 hours of layovers (the way we went, at least...)
