WEE NONPROFIT MAILINGS VERSION 2002.02.G.05

This Excel 4.0 macro package and sample mailing list spreadsheet
may be used by nonprofit groups for presorting Standard Mail
(A) pieces according to current (as of 6/10/04) USPS presort
requirements and labelling lists for nonautomation flats.

The sample mailing list MAILLIST.XLS has 210 mailing records
stored in a standard Excel Database. (You can use any of
the spreadsheet and database formats that Excel recognizes
to store the mailing list.) To presort it, use the Mail
menu to run the 3/5 Presort. When done, there will be several
windows, in addition to the mailing list. One of them will
contain a USPS Qualification Report that may be required,
and is always accepted, by the Post Office. A second window
will contain sack labeling information in a form suitable
for the accompanying sack/tray barcoded label generator.
The third and last window will contain a working summary
of the mailing, which you can safely ignore and delete.

To install, simply copy to a convenient area and open with Excel.
Use the Excel Add-In manager to load Solver if it is not already
installed. Double check by pulling down the menus to find
"Solver..." Go ahead and select that menu item to ensure Solver
is loaded, close the solver window and save the mail presort workbook
under a new name of your choice. This should properly embed the
necessary Solver links into the workbook.
