To demonstrate surface seismic prestack Gaussian beam depth migration,
I generate the common-shot gather of Figure 10(a) by ray tracing,
modeling a 15-degree dipping reflector
in a medium with a constant velocity of 3. The source-receiver near offset
is 0.2. Figure 10(b) is the depth image generated by the above stated
procedure with the same Gaussian beam computation parameters
as in the poststack case. It shows that the method works.
Crosswell seismic prestack Gaussian beam depth migration works the same way.
The only difference is in the location of the source.

(b) Subsurface depth
reflectivity image reconstructed by prestack Gaussian beam depth migration.
The source is at 0.4, and the source-receiver near offset is 0.2.
