not a period to end the sentence.
We assume that you are familiar with basic UNIX commands.
If not, we strongly advise you to read the first couple of chapters of any
introductory book on UNIX before continuing.

Hardcopy devices will print out three separate pages of plots.
On devices where you can see either the
text screen or the graphics screen (but not both at the same time) you
may have to hit ``Return'' to work through the sequence of plots one at
a time. On most other screen devices the three plots will simply zip
by in quick succession; you have to give an option to tell
it to slow down or wait for a keypress.
If your
pen
program is Xtpen
it will animate the three frames for you, Movie-style.
