We applied plane-wave migration in tilted coordinates on isotropic and anisotropic data.
Plane-wave migration in tilted coordinates is potentially cheaper than shot-profile migration.
For both isotropic and anisotropic data, plane-wave migration in tilted coordinates can handle overturned waves and
image steeply dipping salt flanks and faults.
It also images the rugose top of the salt very well.
Plane-wave migration is a good tool for complex salt-body delineation.
