The sounds of the forest included someone blowing over the opening of a coke bottle. This someone turned out to be a blue grouse. We saw him doing his mating dance in a clearing near Sentinel Dome but he retreated to the trees when we tried to photograph him. Wily Grouse! We wished him luck in his efforts to find a mate.
