Success! After an arduous 1200-meter climb, we take in the splendors of Ritter's summit view. The view from three sides is blocked for the entire ascent, so upon reaching the summit, the skies seem to open. Unfortunately, heavy smoke from a forest fire obscured the views to the south and west.
