Sweeney Ridge is our favorite casual hiking spot in the San Francisco Bay Area. When we lived in San Bruno, the combination of distance (5-minute drive) and a dynamic environment (fog,sun,brown,green,wind,calm) drew us back again and again. Even after moving back south to Mountain View, we find ourselves going back whenever we can. A trip report is here.
