Colortables is a somewhat misleading name for this option. Data can displayed in three different methods: raster display, contours, and a wiggle plot. The raster display offers six different colortable options.  These eight options have combined into a single parameter.</description>

Hypercube provides a number of ways to display and manipulate data in a raster format. 
Hypercube maps data into 256 different colors.  Hypercube begins by requesting a byte representation of a given slice. This byte image is then converted into a raster image by using one of several different  color tables.</description>
