ABSTRACTVlad and Biondi (2002) have shown that focusing-effect AVO (FEAVO) exists and is visible in the angle domain. They have conjectured that wave-equation migration velocity analysis (WEMVA) might solve the FEAVO problem. I continue that line of work by showing evidence that WEMVA is the right tool, and by redoing the preprocessing and velocity analysis of the dataset on which FEAVO was defined. |
