Unique solutions for l-subscript 1 problems , by Lin Zhang, Joe Dellinger, & Francis Muir

The l-subscript p solution to a set of overdetermined linear equations is unique if p>1, but may not be if p=1. We resolve this ambiguity by defining l-subscript 1+ solution which is the limit of l-subscript p solutions over p as p-> 1 from above. This solution is unique and in the l-subcript 1 solution set. We present a conceptual algorithm to find this solution, and illustrate the method with two examples.
