ELECTION! The Drinking Game
Time: 4:00pm Tuesday November 4th, 2008
Location: The 750 Pub, 750 Escondido Road, Stanford, CA
- Players must be at least 21 years old
- Players must have voted at least once .... somewhere (we encourage electoral participation!)
- Admission to ELECTION! requires a 1 beer pitcher ante contribution
- Continuing to compete requires purchasing additional pitchers as warranted by fair play
- American citizens (bring proof) may choose to play for either the Red or Blue Team
- Non-Americans are told by the Americans for which team they are playing (and must pretend to like it!)
- Players must bring Red/Blue markers for coloring
- Individuals drink when their team wins an election as called by CNN (Blue) or FOX (Red)
- Winning a State in the Presidential vote earns for each player on your team 1/2 ounce of beer per electoral college vote
- Players must finish all ounces within 10 minutes of projected victory call (have fun California!)
- Saying any of the following words is a 3 ounce penalty: Gerrymandering, Lobbyist, Mark Foley, Wolf Blitzer
- When your home state (by birth or adoption) gives you the right to assign a 3 ounce penalty drink to any other player (cross the floor...i dare you!)
- A state is colored Red/Blue when a state is called for the Red/Blue team
- Where a state cannot be called that evening, you have to take a shot of hard likker.
- Coloring within the lines is appreciated ...
- Please don't drink and drive (but we stay mute about cycling) ....
