View

The View button starts a Java graphics application (see below about ImageJ), that displays the result figure in an independent window. The graphics application let's the reader explore the figure (zoom, scale, smooth, sharpen and any other standard ImageJ process your version of ImageJ supplies). To display the figure, the Java applet (run by the browser) contacts the document server, downloads a SEP data file that contains the result, converts the data to its internal pixel representation for floats, and displays the pixels.

The displayed image is not the Gif image displayed in the web browser. But both images were derived from the same result data file. I will have to say more about this in the section about the Java application.
