I received my BS in geophysics from the
Colorado School of Mines.
CSM is a small college that specializes in engineering and
earth sciences. No underwater basket-weaving here!
Mines is a small school in Golden, CO. Many people probably
recognize Golden as being the home of Coors brewery. I prefer
to remember the "M" on Mount Zion overlooking the town. I got
to help whitewash the M - twice. I carried a 10 pound rock up
the mountain when I was beginning my freshman year, and at the
end of my senior year I found the same rock and brought it back.
The woman in the pink shirt is my best friend and the other
half of my brain, Angela. This is what we looked like after
retrieving our rocks.
