ABSTRACT

The aim of this article is two-fold. First, a small program has been developed to build a 3-D grid and fill it from geological or geophysical models using the GOCAD library of functions. This 3-D grid program has been tested in many cases and has produced good results even with very complex structural models. Second, a proposal is made to elaborate a new implementation of the {\tt GRID3\_t} object of GOCAD in a manner more convenient for geophysical and/or geological purposes.
