We have computed multiple arrival traveltimes by interpolating between adjacent rays. Our approach is to separate the rays according to the associated take-off angles and interpolate inside the triangles we obtained with an incremental constrained Delaunay algorithm.
We will continue our work toward the implementation of the 3-D algorithm, the computation of amplitudes similar to the traveltimes, and the combined usage of ray tracing and interpolation programs. The goal is to use the interpolation algorithm to signal the existence of the shadow zones and to shoot additional rays in between.
