Most of the solutions for
handling irregularly-sampled data address the issue of
missing data traces, and irregular spatial distribution
within bins. Variable fold
in the form of trace redundancy has received much less attention
and is more often treated as harmless to the processing operation.
We first explain the problem as we discuss it
in the scope of processing wide-azimuth surveys, then we present our
new development to
account for the fold variations in the implementation of the algorithms,
finally, we demonstrate our improved results on a synthetic reflectivity model.
