Content pages

While table-of-contents pages help a reader navigate, content pages convey the author's message. For content pages, the standard rules for good expository writing hold.

We avoid placing hyperlinks at the top of a content page. We feel that such a hyperlink poses a potentially difficult decision to a reader: to continue to read the page or to follow the hyperlink. We prefer to include such links in the corresponding table-of-contents page or at the bottom of the content page itself (maybe as a bibliography section).
