ABSTRACT

Mono-frequency Green's functions can be calculated using several frequency domain algorithms. I model the response to a point impulse in 2-D using phase shift, PSPI and $\omega-x$ implicit finite difference algorithms. All of these algorithms can be implemented in both rectangular and polar coordinates. In polar coordinates an outgoing wavefield can be accurately modeled using a low dip algorithm. This means that high dip accuracy can be obtained at low dip cost.
