The methods of computing resolution matrices that have been illustrated here may be easily generalized to a variety of other iterative and approximate inversion methods. In many situations, all these algorithms need to be modified to compute only the diagonal components of these resolution matrices since the full matrices can be of enormous size. These other methods and related practical issues will be discussed in greater detail elsewhere.
