REVERSE TIME MIGRATION

For reverse time migration one step of the algorithm loop on page [*] is carried out to simulate a shot. Then that synthetic wave field is backward propagated, simultaneously with the real recorded data, which are fed in time-reverse at the geophone locations. At each time step the cross correlation between the strains of the two wavefields is summed for each spatial position.
