The activeplot plot inclusion method worked so well that with one or two weeks effort, Martin Karrenbach was able to convert to the required form a 400 page project report written by 16 people. As a test, we deleted all the figures in the report and issued the rebuild command. Much to our delight, more than three quarters of the figures were properly rebuilt. Perhaps all would have, but some figures were given to us in paper form by outsiders and some were done on outside computers with different software and a few authors were not completely maintaining their figure building scripts.
