APPLYING THE OPERATORS TO MIGRATED IMAGES

Compared with the calculation of the operators, the application of the operators to migrated images is relatively simple. Let us take residual depth migration of post-stacked depth image as an example. We have the following algorithm:

Loop over surface location xc

Loop over output image location (x,z)

$Q(x,z) = Q(x,z) + \hat{Q}(\hat{x},\hat{z})$.

Here the amplitudes of the operators are set to be constant. It is possible to compute more correct amplitudes of the operators with WKBJ approximation.
