ABSTRACT

Velocity analysis using a conjugate gradient method gives a better resolution than that obtained by classical stacking along hyperbolas. The data can be easily obtained back from this velocity analysis panel.

Comparisons of various ways of sampling in the velocity domain show that even sampling in slowness squared should be chosen.
