Conclusions

I presented a nonlinear two-slope extension to Claerbout's 1992 single-slope estimation method. Compared to Fomel's approach, , my method is less accurate and theoretically sensitive to aliasing, but also faster. I demonstrated very encouraging results in the application of signal/noise separation, where the two slopes in the data were associated to signal and noise steering filters.
