ABSTRACTGeometry regularization is a key process for obtaining reliable subsurface images with 3D seismic data. 3D regularization is, so far, a technique mainly used on PP land data. Multicomponent ocean bottom cable (OBC) technology simulates 3D land acquisition for multicomponent geophones at the ocean bottom. Reliable subsurface PS images, which provide amplitude information, have to go through a regularization process. Converted wave Azimuth Moveout (PSAMO) acts as a regularization operator in the formulation of the geometry regularization process in the least-squares sense. |
