Previous: Choice of non-stationary shaping-filter
We describe a robust methodology for adaptive noise cancellation,
based on non-stationary shaping filters and geophysical inverse
theory.
Helical preconditioning ensures the non-stationary shaping
filters vary smoothly, preserving primary energy.
Results on synthetic data show that the algorithm successfully
attenuates well-predicted multiples, and to a lesser extent
poorly-predicted multiples as well.
